Introductory Workshops

An introduction to Mindfulness Based Core Process Psychotherapy.

Introductory workshop days are a pre-requisite requirement for our training and the first point of contact with us. They can also be counted as 6 hours of CPD for accredited psychotherapists and counsellors who wish to get a taste of our work to inform their own practices.

Clinical Contract, Graduation & Accreditation Fees

Each year that you are out of the taught training and working towards graduation you are required to pay an annual clinical contract fee which is £500*

  • Application for Accreditation Panel: £450*

Budgeting for your training

We think it is helpful to know what extra costs might be involved in the training and for transparency we have listed below what these might be:

Residential Costs

Each year we have a five day residential at Karuna Dartmoor.  Students always say how important the residential is to their training and for the cohesiveness and connection of the group.   The residential is an additional expense, which is currently set at £425 per year.  Students are invoiced directly by Karuna Dartmoor.  The fee covers all your residential costs including all your food for the five day stay in Devon.

Therapy & Supervision Expenses

  • Weekly personal therapy – a minimum of 160 hours to Graduate

  • Supervision when in Clinical Practice – 38 hours to graduate / 100 hours to accredit.

  • Clinical Contract when not attending a taught year

  • Supervisor’s written reports (Supervisor’s may charge for their time to write a report – this is an annual requirement from when you start to see clients up until accreditation)

  • Registration as a Data Controller currently £40 per year (2022)

Practice Expenses

  • Travel costs associated with practice

  • Professional Indemnity Insurance from when you begin in practice

Miscellaneous Costs

  • Travel and accommodation to attend the training modules in Bristol
  • Travel costs to placements
  • Extra curricular dissertation support (if required)
  • Students will need access to a computer and the internet
  • Books/Research Papers
  • Application to Accredit £450*
