Katherine was born on the Isle of Mull and from age 2 grew up in a Camphill Community near Bristol where her parents acted as ‘house parents’ to a household of 10 young people with learning disabilities. After studying languages at college she spent 5 years working short stints to travel, and repeat, before completing a Social Work degree at the University of Bath. Katherine worked as a mental health social worker in Weston Super Mare before moving to Dartmoor where she ran a goat micro-dairy/Community Supported Agriculture scheme with her partner for 6 years. For the last few years she has been working as an Administrator for Karuna Dartmoor. Katherine lives with her partner and three children aged 4,6 and 8 on the edge of the Moor.
