I came to psychotherapy training in my late 40s by way of mindfulness and the teachings of the dharma. The Core Process training opened my eyes and ignited in me a deep recognition and appreciation of how it is to be human in all its glorious and messy facets, and how to be present with it all.
I’m particularly interested in the ways we develop our conditioned identities, the intersection of the social constructs we take as real, and how we locate ourselves in space and time in relation to each other.
Loving the earth and the natural world I have also trained as a Wild Therapist; this deepened my sense of the interconnectedness of all life including the other than human and the more than human, integrating well with Core Process.
I am based in Cardiff and alongside my psychotherapy practice I train and consult in organisations on diversity, equity and inclusion and serve on the National Infrastructure Commission for Wales. Before I became a psychotherapist I had a career spanning 30 years in housing, homelessness and support.
