Here’s a small glimpse of me from behind the computer screen and calculator!
I live in the Scottish Borders with my husband Ed (a retired sea captain) and a menagerie of animals on our smallholding of 5 acres.
In 2014, I embarked on a huge change of lifestyle, moving away from the long hours and pressures as a qualified accountant working for large corporations , to a more balanced and sustainable way of living and working. I joined ACPP as their Administrator and I love being part of the CPP community.
Our smallholding is a source of joy (as well as challenges!) and we raise and breed rare breed pigs (Oxford Sandy and Blacks – ginger with black splotches), as well as Shetland sheep, pygmy goats, hens and bees! We grow our own vegetables and run a busy pork, honey and egg business. We also host education events for local schools and a farming education trust. I am also a representative of a pig charity so I help and support smallholders in becoming rare pig breeders in Scotland. If I’m not at home then you may see me at a rugby match supporting Scotland or our local team.
